The famous Glenside label started in 1951
and issued over 350 different recordings.
Many now famous Irish artists such as
Noel Purcell, Joe Lynch, Mary McGonigle,
Delia Murphy, Din Joe, Charlie McGee and
Brendan O'Reilly made early Glenside records.

From 1951 to 1981, Radio Eireann, Ireland's National radio station, broadcast a weekly live programme of Irish popular music.
The programme was commercially sponsored by Waltons Music of North Frederick Street and featured recordings published on Waltons Glenside label.

For almost thirty years the Glenside label presented a stream of Irish popular songs to the public. The label had many hits over the years. The scope of the Glenside label broadened to include instrumental music, ceili music and traditional fiddle playing.

Today Glenside are embracing new technologies.
We producce range of CD and DVD products that will be of invaluable to anybody interested in Irish traditional music.
